For those unfamiliar with the Fluxx series of card games, the basic gameplay involves a flurry of ever-changing rules. They begin with a simple draw one card, play one card turn, but then devolve from there as players change the rules on a whim. Do I draw 3 cards this turn and play 5? Is there a hand limit that I need to discard down to? What are the winning criteria right now? Every rule is up for grabs, and your “sure to win” hand that is ready for your next turn can become obsolete in a heartbeat as fellow players alter the win conditions. Its a fun game that keeps you on your toes, and it has a seemingly-endless number of variations for every interest, including Zombie Fluxx, Monty Python Fluxx, Cthulhu Fluxx, Star Trek Fluxx, and many many more.
Camping Fluxx is yet another addition in the vast Fluxx empire of games. In this version, you are headed out on a camping trip. Your end goal may be to have the cards needed to make s’mores, such as marshmallows and graham crackers, or to go canoeing, such as a canoe, paddles and a river, but beware, even with the right equipment, mosquitoes and rain can ruin the trip and steal your win. Its a fun take on Fluxx, and perfect for your next outdoor adventure.
