Flamingocon, Inc. is now a tax-exempt non profit!
And our event, Flamingocon 13, is moving to a larger venue! WOOOOO!
We will be at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach (near Linton & Jog).
We plan to sell approximately 250 tickets for Flamingocon 13 on Jan 5, 2019.
—We will have more space and lots of cushioned chairs.
—We will have BETTER LIGHTING!
—We will have a separate D&D/RPG room that’s bigger.
—There are restaurants and a nice park within walking distance.
—Plenty of parking and bathrooms, plus a lobby to socialize in.
—We will have a covered entrance to load/unload your games in bad weather.
—We plan to add on another hour.
—We will have a more formal flea market to re-sell games, with tables for a low cost. Possibly also a virtual flea market on Boardgamegeek.
—We will have a stage and PA system to announce Play To Win winners.
—We may have vendors.
—We will see about food trucks.
—We will have better shelving for the game library.
NOTE: At the moment, we only have plans for this bigger space on January 5. We don’t know yet how often this will happen at the civic center. Make it sell out, and it’ll happen again in summer 2019!
